Here are the New Safaricom M-PESA Transaction Charges

You will now have to dig deeper into your pockets starting today, July 1 when sending money via M-Pesa. Safaricom has announced new charges for the money transfer service, of course, this comes after Treasury CS Henry Rotich during his budget reading announced that customers would now be charged 12 percent up from 10 percent of every cost of money transfer.

The new M-PESA Charges Take Effect from July 1st, 2018

The new M-Pesa charges announced by Safaricom are between Ksh.1 and Ksh.3 higher with transferring Ksh.100 still remaining free. Safaricom has however limited the number of times you can send Ksh.100 to only three times a day after which you will pay Ksh.1 for amounts between Ksh.1 and Ksh.49 and Ksh.2 for transfer amounts between Ksh.50 and Ksh. 100.

The new fees take effect from July 1st, 2018.
