Start of A New Cooperation Between Kenya and Ukrainian Blockchain Associations After MoU Signing

The Blockchain Association of Kenya and Blockchain Association of Ukraine have signed an Memorandum Of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic alliance across a broad range of areas including education, research, training & development of Blockchain technology for their member associations.  

The MOU was signed at the Embassy of Ukraine offices at Nairobi by Ms. Roselyn Gicira, Chairlady, Blockchain Association of Kenya, and Mr. Leonid Foiu-Khatskevych, Blockchain Association of Ukraine Ambassador.  It was witnessed by the Ambassador of Ukraine in Kenya, H.E Andrii Pravednyk.

The Blockchain Association of Kenya strives, to foster a network through collaboration with other Associations with the capacity and resources to build Africa’s future through Blockchain technology. 

Blockchain Association of Ukraine’s objective is multilateral dialogue that supports the strategic course of Ukraine for strengthening multi-professional relations in the industry of blockchain locally and internationally.

According to H.E. Ambassador Andrii Pravednyk said:

“I hope this is the beginning of a cooperation between the Blockchain Association of Kenya and the Ukrainian Blockchain Association and ensure that we can develop, not just a relationship between the two associations but also generally speaking between Ukraine and Kenya.

This is a very good example of prospects that we have and ensure that we will be able to reach the level of relations which allow our people to know each other better. I see this as a very important part of bilateral relations.”

Speaking on the new partnership, Leonid said:

“The cooperation will enable both institutions to promote and strengthen standards in the use, distribution, and training of Blockchain and Distributed Ledgers technology, conducting research, training and publications in the area of Blockchain”. 

Roselyn stated that the collaboration will enable both associations to complement each other by working closely together to share knowledge, expertise and technologies.

The association shall educate and promote Blockchain technologies through knowledge and experience sharing events, conferences, meetups, seminars, sessions, market research, support, accelerators and hubs programs and publications conducted by professionals and in partnership with academia.

The two associations shall provide legal, technical, methodological, and strategic support to Blockchain powered companies, startups, developers and entrepreneurs on all stages of their development and growth. Driven by success, will help initiatives achieve their goals and, eventually, create the multiplier effect.
