Are You an African Blockchain Project? Apply for the Second Celo Camp Wave Before October 5, 2020

Following the success of the inaugural wave of Celo Camp that saw PesaBase, a Kenyan-based crypto startup, take the top position, the second wave of the funding round is now open.

Registration for Celo Camp 2.0 is now open until October 5, 2020.

Participating teams stand a chance to make international contacts with investors from A16z, Polychain Capital, Blockchain Founders Fund, and more mentors during the 8-week program.

In the first wave, two African startups emerged among top winners. These startups were:

  • Pesabase – a payments and remmiitance app ( winner)
  • Kotani Pay – a USSD on and off-ramp service (3rd position)

In the second wave, participating teams stand a chance to win:

  • 1st place – $10,000 USD
  • 2nd place – $5,000 USD
  • Tenet Award – 5 teams each get $2000 USD

The celo mission is to build a financial system that creates conditions for prosperity – for all. African developers and startup teams are encouraged to join the ecosystem and accelerate its growth.

Teams that apply receive active support from the Celo Camp program, with mentors guiding teams on engineering and business strategy. Successful teams join the network of Celo Camp alumni comprising of teams from around the world builing on Celo.
