Total Cryptocurrency Market Cap Crosses $1 Trillion as Bitcoin Breaks the $37,000 Milestone

For the first time ever, the total value of all cryptocurrencies has crossed $1 trillion.

At the same time, Bitcoin hit new record highs of above $37, 000 as the crypto market continues to surge.

The trillion-dollar capitalization has seen the entire altcoin market surge largely being driven by the gravitational pull of Bitcoin and Ethereum.

  • Bitcoin is up more than 25% in 2021 so far
  • 1% of all money is now held in Bitcoin
  • Bitcoin rose more than 50% in December 2020 alone
  • Price of Bitcoin surges more than 100% since November 2020 so far
  • Bitcoin rose more than 300% in 2020 alone
  • More than 136,000 Bitcoin on Ethereum are now worth $4.9 billion, a new all-time high
  • More than 4% of the total market cap of Ethereum is in Bitcoin
  • Tether (USDT) supply grows by 10% in 2021
  • USDC grows by double digit to the current $4.3 billion

The recent political events in the United States and the continued adoption of cryptocurrencies by institutional investors is driving this massive surge in bitcoin.
