There are now more than 73, 600 bitcoins currently wrapped and locked onto the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), according to the latest on-chain analytics.
Wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC) on Ethereum currently accounts for the third largest asset in total value locked (TVL) in the DeFi ecosystem.

Below are some of the latest stats when it comes to bitcoin on DeFi protocols:
- 1% of all circulating bitcoin supply has now been wrapped into $wBTC and brought onto the Ethereum ecosystem
- 73, 601 bitcoins are now locked on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC)
- 13.5% of all wBTC is already on the Polygon Layer 2 protocol
Recently, the chain celebrated 700 million transactions demonstrating its impressive achievements so far.
