Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange globally, has officially been unveiled as an official sponsor of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournaments 2021.
AFCON is the largest soccer event in Africa. The AFCON 2021 tournament takes place from January 9, 2022 – February 6, 2022.
This sponsorship marks the first time that Binance is sponsoring a large-scale football event. The deal also makes Binance the exclusive crypto and blockchain platform for the AFCON 2021 tournaments.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Veron Mosengo-Omba, Secretary General, Confederation of African Football (CAF), said:

AFCON 2021 kicked off on January 9, 2021 and is hosted by Cameroon.
More than 160 nations will live broadcast the tournament with an audience of over 300 million.
