Chipper Cash Formally Launches Operations in Rwanda, its 6th African Country

The platform empowers Rwandan users to engage in transactions involving multiple currencies as well as facilitating effortless international remittances.

Leading African fintech platform, Chipper Cash, recently announced the expansion of its operations to Rwanda as it seeks to provide services across Africa.

The announcement was made at the inaugural Inclusive Fintech Forum, described as a worldwide platform dedicated to promoting financial inclusion and utilizing fintech for the betterment of society, held at the Kigali Convention Centre.

Chipper Cash provides Africans with a user-friendly and innovative mobile application that facilitates cross-border fund transfers, enables global payments using virtual cards, and offers investment opportunities in global stocks and cryptocurrencies. By venturing into Rwanda, Chipper Cash says it endeavors to foster connectivity among the Rwandan population through seamless and secure transactions.

Moreover, the company seeks to promote convenient accessibility to financial services while contributing to the overall economic growth of the country.

At present, the platform empowers Rwandan users to engage in transactions involving multiple currencies as well as facilitating effortless international remittances. In the near future, Chipper Cash has plans to introduce further products and services in Rwanda, expanding its offerings within the country.

These include:

  • Virtual Chipper Card, which will provide people with a convenient way to shop, stream, and subscribe online, and
  • Chipper for Business, a solution designed to support efficient operations for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the global marketplace
