Gitcoin, a recognized leader in the decentralized marketplace, has endorsed the ‘African Web3 Tour,’ a strategically planned community initiative set to commence in Q4 2023 and extend throughout 2024.
The primary objective of the tour is to broaden the embrace of Web3 technologies across Africa.
Interested stakeholders are invited to review the project details on the Gitcoin Explorer. There, you will find an option to support the initiative by connecting your Ethereum wallet.
We’re pleased to note that Gitcoin and its collaborative partners have initiated a matching pool, with fund distributions being reflective of the contributions received. This grant round will conclude on August 29, 2023.
The Africa Web3 Tour: Q4 2023 Highlights:
- Destinations: Targeted outreach in key African cities, including Kampala (Uganda), Lusaka (Zambia), Kigali (Rwanda), and Accra (Ghana) in Q4 2023.
- Participants: A diverse assembly of industry stakeholders, government regulators, Web2 and Web3 developers, local businesses, and fintechs.
- Opportunities: Insight into market dynamics, establishing a local footprint, aligning with unique ecosystem needs, and leveraging visibility through Web2 and Web3 media platforms.
With a roadmap that spans 30 cities across 30 African nations over the next three years, the end of the Africa Web3 Tour will see the release of a detailed report. This document will encompass the status of Web3 technologies in the visited countries, along with data-driven recommendations for enhancing adoption and understanding.
