The launch of .austin represents the first city-based super-powered web domain, leveraging blockchain technology, which ensures security and trustworthiness and highlights the city’s reputation as a friendly and innovative tech hub. Minted exclusively on the Polygon network, .austin domains are considered far more secure than the four US city traditional TLDs that exist so far: .nyc, .miami, .vegas and .boston – but also integrate a range of new capabilities, making it a must-have for local businesses, organizations for artists, musicians, sports, non-profit entities, and more.
