Lusaka Unplugged (Zambia)
Lusaka Unplugged addresses the lack of knowledge and access to blockchain technology, NFTs, and Web3 opportunities among artists and developers in Zambia.
By bridging the gap between creativity and technology, the meetup empowered participants with essential skills, knowledge and resources.
Web3 to High School Leavers (Nigeria)
Web3 to High School Leavers project is solving a crucial problem in the early adoption of Web3 technology among high school students (the next-gen).
The approach involves simplifying the complexities of Web3 and blockchain technology through basic, relatable education that uses real-life scenarios. By doing so, they ensure that the next-gen can easily grasp and engage with these advanced concepts.
Furthermore, the project highlights the vast career opportunities within the Web3 space, emphasizing the benefits of building on the Base network.
Onchain Summer Anthem (Official Video) (Nigeria)
What started off as an idea in a room with 3 artists creating on the floor while figuring out how they fit in the Buildathon without staking fee ended in a humbling win. In deed, @base is for everyone.

The song the whole Base is singing now. Thank you @jessepollak pic.twitter.com/Fu6Lqu2Ah7— OnChain Music (@music_onchain) August 1, 2024
The ‘Onchain Summer Anthem’ is the first chain based song done for Base by “Onchain Music” specifically to show the value of Base blockchain, bridge the gap between off-chain and on-chain while uniting and inspiring others to come onchain/build on Base.
AssetScooper (Nigeria)
AssetScooper aggregates low-value assets and swap for a more valuable asset in a single transaction.
Users sometimes accumulate small amounts of various tokens from airdrops, tips, or previous trading activities. Managing these small balances can clutter a wallet and make it difficult to track valuable holdings.
Asset scooper aggregates these small balances, simplifying the user’s wallet and making it easier to manage and review their crypto assets.
Enhanced Portfolio: Using Assetscooper, users can maintain a cleaner and more organized asset, thereby making it easier to track high-value assets. This also helps in maintaining a better overview of the user’s overall portfolio.
Zap by PayCrest (Nigeria)
Zap by Paycrest is a dApp that solves the problem of crypto holders wanting to use their assets for everyday transactions by enabling instant crypto-to-fiat conversions, focusing on Nigerian Naira (NGN) for this hackathon. The goal is to simplify the ‘off-ramping’ process, allowing users to seamlessly convert their stablecoins (USDC) to local currency for common purchases and payments.
What sets Zap apart is its user-friendly approach – recipients need no crypto knowledge or action to receive payments. They simply get local currency directly, bridging the gap between cryptocurrency holders and traditional financial systems.
By leveraging a decentralized liquidity protocol, Zap eliminates the need for manual conversions before spending, making cryptocurrency practical for real-world financial transactions.
SwiftPay Finance (Nigeria)
SwiftPay Finance simplifies workforce payments with a versatile crypto payroll system, offering flexibility and convenience for both single and batch all onchain.
It helps freelancers generate an invoice and send reminders to clients if payment is not complected.
Summer Onboarding (Nigeria)
The Summer Onboarding initiative addresses the challenge of onboarding newcomers to the blockchain ecosystem during the OnChain Summer Buildathon. It provides educational sessions and practical guidance to help participants understand Base, navigate the Buildathon, and effectively submit their projects.
Bonadocs <> Base Registry (Nigeria)
The Bonadocs<>protocol registry allows Base to distribute its smart contract protocols to builders. Each protocol links to an individual playground that will enable devs to interact with their contract methods and app actions.
Usually, devs go to the Base ecosystem page, find the Base protocol they want to integrate, open its docs, get the contract address, and then interact with the contracts locally on their IDE, etherscan, or tenderly. This creates fragmentation for developers directly integrating the contracts, plus, it doesn’t provide a low barrier of entry for high-level exploration of the protocol.
