The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF), in partnership with the African Guarantee Fund (AGF) and FSDH Merchant Bank Limited, has opened applications for its flagship AWIEF Growth Accelerator Programme. This initiative is designed to enhance access to finance and markets for women-owned and women-led small and medium enterprises (WSMEs) in Nigeria.
AWIEF is a pan-African organization committed to empowering women economically by bridging gender gaps and fostering business leadership and entrepreneurship across the continent.
The Growth Accelerator Programme is powered by the African Development Bank’s Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa (AFAWA) initiative, which seeks to unlock up to $3 billion in financing for WSMEs across Africa.
As the implementing partner for AFAWA, AGF plays a pivotal role in driving economic development, job creation, and poverty reduction. Meanwhile, FSDH Merchant Bank will provide loans to WSMEs in Nigeria, facilitating their growth and expansion.
This strategic collaboration between AWIEF, AGF, and FSDH Merchant Bank aims to empower WSMEs operating in key sectors by increasing their access to much-needed financial support.
Applications are open until March 31.
