Polygon, a leading Layer 2 protocol on the Ethereum blockchain, has opened applications for its inaugural Africa Bootcamp which will be an eight-week intensive program that combines an educational course and a hackathon at the end.

The program is in partnership with Nigerian fintech, Xend Finance, as the Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution scales activities on the continent.

“We’ve sponsored ETH Safari and the upcoming Crypto Fest, and supported communities in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and other African countries, because we know developers across the continent are eager to take the future into their hands,” Polygon said.
