Luno Introduces Automated Naira Withdrawals at Any Time in Nigeria

[PRESS RELEASELagos, Nigeria – Tuesday, 4 February 2020

Luno has introduced faster and automated withdrawals to its Nigerian customers, which means users are no longer restricted to daily withdrawal schedules.

“Luno customers in Nigeria wanting to withdraw their Naira on the Luno platform now have quicker withdrawal options instead of waiting for restricted manual batch payments. This means our customers can withdraw Naira from their Luno wallet at any time,” says Owen Odia, Luno country manager, Nigeria.

The previous withdrawal option did not favour Luno customers as they were forced to wait for a specific time schedule to receive their payments.

All Nigerian customers on the Luno platform will now be able to receive their funds within minutes, irrespective of which bank they use.

“This automated withdrawals and payments service has been launched in response to ongoing customer feedback. It is just one of the new services we’re currently offering our Nigerian customers to support their requests for faster processing times.”

She added:

Crypto-to-crypto transfers are instantaneous, but processing delays come into play when customers need to move crypto into traditional fiat accounts. Cryptocurrency traders are demanding quick, secure and reliable access to their Naira – and now we’re allowing them to do just that.”

Barely a week ago, Luno introduced automated and instant real-time withdrawals for its South African customers directly to their Standard bank accounts at no additional charge and looking to expand the offering to other bank account holders.
