A consortium of core developers from Nigeria have built an innovative DeFi protocol dubbed, Ethereum Push Notification Service (EPNS).
EPNS is one of a kind decentralized DeFi notification protocol (smart contract) which can be used by any dApp or service to send beautiful notifications to Ethereum wallet addresses.
The notifications can be delivered in a platform agnostic way to mobile, tablets, web browsers and even to favorite wallets of web3 (Metamask, Trust, etc). Users who receive notifications can also earn from them.
This project while global is built by a consortium of core developers from Nigeria and India with Jude Dike and Nwagbogwu Victor being the main core developers of the DeFi protocol along with Harsh Rajat from India.
In a statement sent to BitcoinKE, EPNS said:
“Being a global project, we have a presence from all around the world, though we are proud to say how African talent is helping us in breaking the boundaries and forms a major part of our core team and team efforts in general.”
The project development phase has included a 5-month roller coaster ride in which they were hand-picked and went through prestigious initiatives in blockchain space, including:
- EthGlobal HackMoney
- IDEO (40 year old design company which designed Apple computers)
- Mentors from Ethereum Foundation
- Currently at Gitcoin Incubator / Accelerator program
- EDCON
