The vice president of growth marketing at Chipper Cash has said that the company is looking at South Africa as a major market and looking to launch with some amazing features that include crypto.
The company has already advertised for a Growth Marketing Manager position in South Africa who will help ‘introduce the product to remittance senders, creatives, business owners, side hustlers, and families.’

The VP, Hasan, who also identifies himself with a crypto acronymn, hasan.crypto, said the company is also launching in new diaspora remittance markets in the USA and the UK.
Hasan also mentioned about crypto partnerships the company is pursuing across Dubai, Berlin, San Franscisco, Atlanta and Los Angeles, signaling a more focused approach to crypto for its remittance product.
In May 2021, Chipper Cash raised $100 million with the goal of building out crypto products for the African market.
The startup currently boasts over 4 million users – a 33% increase in just one year with over 80, 000 daily transactions and over $100 million in value transacted across the platform so far.
