LocalBitcoins, the world’s oldest and largest peer-to-peer Bitcoin marketplace, has launched a new mobile app for Android and iOS users.
LocalBitcoins, which was founded in 2012, has been a pioneer in providing a platform for bitcoin trading in emerging markets. It currently has a large lead over up-and-coming competitors such as Paxful and Binance P2P in the peer-to-peer trading space in Latin America and Russia, for example.
In Russia, for example, traders swapped less than 5 BTC on Paxful in the second week of November 2021, whereas LocalBitcoins users traded more than 40 BTC in the same time period.
Thousands of LocalBitcoins customers have downloaded the app since it became available worldwide.
