Twitter users can now tip other people on Twitter using Barter by Flutterwave and Paga after the two fintech services were added as payment providers by Twitter.
Barter is a web and mobile app from payments technology firm, Flutterwave, that lets people send and receive money from abroad instantly and safely at affordable rates.
Flutterwave also just became a triple unicorn after raising $250 million USD with talk that the company will use its funding to grow into a major tech company on the continent.

Paga is a payment and financial services ecosystem for Africa. Their consumer app enables consumers to access and use money in the most convenient way for them.
Besides the African services, Twitter also added support for Indian payments provider, Paytm, as it widens its payments network to include regional players. In addition, Twitter also added Ethereum addressses for the Tip Jar feature, allowing users to make payments to Ethereum addresses.
However, according to Techcrunch, when you send an ETH tip, you’re not actually tipping via Twitter. Instead, clicking on a user’s ETH tip option just copies their address so you can then navigate to your crypto wallet and send the user an ETH tip.
According to Twitter, Tips is a feature that lets you add links to select third-party payment services to your Twitter profile.
When you have the feature turned on, people can support you by tapping on your Tips icon to send you money or Bitcoin or now ETH, off-platform via the third-party payment services and platforms you have added.
Globally, Twitter’s Tips feature supports payment services including PayPal and Venmo.
