Is Changpeng Zhao (CZ), CEO, Binance, in Kenya, or possibly East Africa?
CZ has posted a series of tweets of him enjoying a Maasai dance and alluding to his presence in the region.
Went far into the mountains. This is not a performance for us. It’s just their normal match making rituals. Different type of matching engine. 😆 pic.twitter.com/7T1pgW7Iub

Binance recently launched a new global advisory board with the purpose of advising Binance on some of the most complex regulatory, political, and social issues the entire crypto industry faces. The board includes 2 Africans from Nigeri and South Africa, but leaves out Kenya, which is among the 3 largest cypto markets in Africa for Binance.
At the same time, CZ recently visited a number of West African countries and met with their respective presidents, most notably:
Kenya is a leading market for Binance and cyrpto in general and a visit to this region of the continent was expected sooner or later.

At the same time, Kenya is in the process looking at crypto regulation, according to recent comments by the Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).
With all of the above developments, a visit by CZ is plausible and would go a long way in position Binance within the Kenyan market amidst possible upcoming crypto regulation.
We have reached out to the Binance team for more information about his possible visit and presence to Kenya and will update this post accordingly.
