On June 26th 2021, the 2nd edition of the FTX Campus meetup was held at Kenyatta University – Chandaria Business Innovation & Incubation Center.
The event was open to all KU students who wanted to learn more about cryptocurrencies in relation to what services are provided by the FTX exchange.

The event’s main focus was to introduce the students to the FTX exchange – the 4th largest crypto trading exchange by volume.
Approximately 60 students attended the event where Johnburgman – the FTX KU campus ambassador – took them through introductions on crypto currencies and FTX exchange.
The FTX Community Lead in Kenya, Mr. Alex Matu, also encouraged the students on the different ways they can earn from the exchange. They got an expert view of where the future is leaning to, in terms of blockchain technology and how they can be part and benefit from this emerging market.
FTX awarded giveaways to the most engaged students. These gifts were t-shirts, caps and $200.
The KU meetup is a good indication that students are actively pursuing opportunities away from the traditional job settings.
