The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Kenya’s largest and official body of certified accountants, has put out a list of facilitators for the upcoming AML-Crypto Assets seminar slated for October 2020.
The seminar theme, dubbed, ‘Emerging Issues in Accounting, Financial Crime, and Dark Web Investigations,’ seeks to highlight the unique challenge for law enforcement officers trying to detect the proceeds of crime via cryptocurrencies.
ICPAK had previously announced a similar seminar for the month of September 2020. It looks like the training has now been pushed to October 2020 with the key names of trainers already out.
The facilitators include:
- Robert Whitaker – Former supervisory Special Agent with US Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) – Illict Digital Economy Program
- CPA Samuel Kiragu – Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator
- Adv James Manyonge – Corporation Secretary and Head of Legal, Compliance and External Relations at Financial Reporting Centre (FRC)
- John Walubengo – Member, Kenya Blockchain & AI Taskforce
The seminar is targeted at the following professionals:
