Binance Labs, the venture arm of leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance, has announced 13 programs that will be graduating from season 2 of the incubation program which began in March 2019 and concluded on June 7, 2019.
Out of the 13 projects, four of these are African-based projects, either founded by Africans or building solutions for the African continent.
These include:
- Bit Sika – A direct to recipient model for donations through crypto
- Raise – Simplifying private securities ownership in frontier markets
- Xend – Make and receive payments, offline or online
- Yellow Card – Cash-to-crypto on-ramp for emerging markets
“For the Binance Labs Incubation Program, we search all over the world for the strongest founders and projects to invest in.
We are proud to have found 13 gems in Season II, and to have spent the past 10 weeks working with the BUIDLers to launch their demos and gained early traction.
From in-app monetization to cash-to-crypto kiosks in Africa, this batch of projects represents the diversity in blockchain and entrepreneurship globally. We are excited to see firsthand the progress being made in every corner of the world to push blockchain forward.”

The three incubation chapters featured in season II were San Franscisco, Berlin and Lagos.
