The President of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, has urged the Bank of Tanzania to look into cryptocurrencies and not be left behind.
According to Swahili Times, a local daily, the President urged the Bank of Tanzania (Central Bank of Tanzania) to remain vigilant amidst the growing interest and adoption of cryptocurrencies.

The Minister at the Ministry of Communication and IT, Tanzania, Faustine Ndugulile, recently reiterated the need to keep in step with the evolving times saying that blockchain and other emerging technologies are going to change the world.
The legal system of Tanzania was also recently admonished to consider blockchain and smart contracts as an evolving aspect of the legal profession in the country at a recent advocates bar admission, an event attended by the top legal minds in the country.
The Central Bank of Tanzania (BoT) Governor, Professor Florens Luoga, also recently received a signed copy of the recently launched book on blockchain titled “Jielimishe Kuhusu Blockchain” or ‘Teach Your Blockchain.’
