LAWTECH MEETUP: A Legal Discussion on the Kenya Blockchain & AI Taskforce Report

The Lawyers Hub Kenya and the Blockchain Association of Kenya have organized a meetup on the 23rd, August 2019, to discuss blockchain and the opportunities it offers for Kenya in the eyes of the taskforce obligated to research and recommend on these emerging technologies.

The Lawyers Hub Kenya organizes tech legal meetups regularly. This is a great opportunity for both legal and non-legal minds to discuss the taskforce report and offer their opinions and recommendations as part of public participation before submission to the president.

During the Africa Blockchain Conference 2019 in Kampala, Uganda, the hub signed an MoU with the Blockchain Association of Kenya to grant support to the partnership with legal and policy capacity, while the association will bring on board training and technical capacity.

The Blockchain Association of Kenya, on 7th August 2019, organized a similar working group discussion meetup that brought together different players in the blockchain and crypto community where valuable suggestions and opinions on the report were tabled.

The association will compile suggestions from the two meetups before forwarding them to the taskforce and the cabinet secretary for ICT, Joe Mucheru.

The meetup is FREE. You can Sign Up Here.
