Twitter Blue is a subscription-based service which gives users exclusive access to premium features and customised apps. Membership costs $2.99 per month (may vary depending on country) and can be accessed on iOS, Android, and web in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Twitter NFT profile pictures are currently available to iOS users but everyone can see the hexagonal-shaped images regardless of whether they are a Twitter Blue member or not.

Steps to Add a NFT Profile Picture (PFP)

Here is how to get a hexagonal-shaped NFT profile photo:

  • If you are a Twitter Blue member, go to your Twitter account and tap on your profile picture
  • Tap ‘Choose NFT’ and select ‘Connect my wallet’
  • Tap Connect my wallet and choose which wallet you want to connect
  • Follow the steps to verify your wallet address with your Twitter account
  • Once your wallet is connected, choose the NFT you want to display as your profile picture
  • Once selected, a hexagonal shape will appear around your image. Tap ‘Done’ and check out your new profile image.

The list of crypto wallets that Twitter currently supports is:

  • Argent
  • Coinbase Wallet
  • Ledger Live
  • MetaMask
  • Rainbow
  • Trust Wallet

While the feature is currently just available for ioS users, Twitter has already begun to send out teasers to android users announcing that the feature would be ‘coming soon.’

It won’t be too long before android and desktop users get to use hexagonal-shaped profile pictures too.
