[VIDEO] A Closer Look at the Pundi X Cryptocurrency Merchant Device at the Afro Asia Fintech Festival 2019

We got to chat with the Pundi X team at the Afro Asia Fintech Festival 2019 and take a closer look at the XPOS device and the XPASS card which support and accept cryptocurrency payments.

Pundi X is looking to connect and partner with brands and companies looking to start accepting cryptocurrency payments both in Kenya and the rest of Africa. The XPOS device enables a merchant to not only accept crypto payments, but even buy and sell crypto for customers, essentially acting as a mobile exchange.

A closer look at the device revealed that the device supports a wide range of cryptos including Bitcoin, Binance Coin, Ether, LiteCoin among other popular ones.

The XPASS card in the above video is an easy-to-use tap card for crypto beginners. You simply top it up with your preferred digital currencies and pay with ease. You can even pair your XPASS card onto the XWallet mobile app and use it with the XPOS device for transactions.

Pundi X has also partnered with the popular African exchange, KuBitX, in order to enable more seamless crypto use across the continent.

The partnership will also allow users to more easily access and use the native KBX tokens, a capability found in the XPOS for anyone looking to offer their own tokens.

Devices that accept crypto payments are key in driving adoption on the merchant level. The Bitcoin ATM in Kenya is proof that such devices bring more awareness and enable more people to accept and own cryptocurrencies.

Pundi X entrance into the Kenyan and the wider African market is definitely going to help make crypto payments more accessible to more people and merchants and in the process grow crypto adoption.
